Mokka Design is currently seeking a Junior Interior Designer to join its team in London, UK.

Mokka Design strives to craft a truly bespoke client experience where individual lifestyle, taste and the unique requirements of each client are the focus. Every project is approached with a passion for design and a concept that is unique to the client, highly personal and tailored to their design vision.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all stages of the design process under direction of the middle-weight and senior designers.
  • Put together schedules, specifications and design intent packages to a high quality.
  • Conduct site visits and liaise with trades.
  • Sourcing and general research of materials, finishes and FF&E.
  • Liaising with suppliers for samples, pricing and following up on lead times.
  • Ordering in samples and managing the samples library.
  • Developing floor plans, elevations and space planning.
  • Putting together fabric and finishes schemes for review.
  • Placing orders and assisting in the procurement process.
  • Providing general administrative support for the office.
  • Responsible for incoming and outgoing post and deliveries to the studio.
  • Booking couriers for the FF&E team as required.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Must have minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience and able to demonstrate an understanding of luxury / high-end private residential projects.
  • Relevant Interior Design / Interior Architecture Qualification.
  • Candidate should have on site experience and some knowledge of liaising with architects, contractors, and suppliers.
  • They should be fluent in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, In Design and Adobe Photoshop with strong project management & organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with some experience of using EstiMac.
  • An eye for detail and a meticulous approach.
  • Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.

  • Able to use one’s initiative to find creative solutions and work both independently and within a team.
  • Driven and motivated to learn and progress.
