Lambs and Lions is seeking a Senior Interior Designer/Architect to join its team in Berlin. The candidate should have a minimum of five year’s experience in a similar role at a leading design firm.
Requirements of the Senior Interior Designer/Architect:
- first class design or architecture based degree and relevant industry work experience of at least five years
- strong attention to detail specialized on hospitality design
- strong knowledge of hotel design across the world
- excellent English language skills both written and verbal
- full understanding of project processes from concept, design development through to site implementation
- strong experience in managing the design team through the whole design process
- strong project management skills
- strong self/time-management skills
- experience and confidence in communicating and presenting to the lead project stakeholders
- comprehensive knowledge in Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe InDesign and photoshop
- a competent level of Microsoft office is required
- german language skills are not required
Responsibilities:
- produce and lead the process of creating detailed drawing packages including architectural, joinery and furniture drawings for tender and construction
- production of sketch visuals for presentations, both hand and computer aided
- creating sample boards and researching concepts/trends in collaboration with the design team
- leading the project management of projects, updating documentation, minutes and schedules as required
- liaising with suppliers, architects, contractors etc. as lead interior designer
- running of projects from concept development through to completion all in line with the timeline of the project
- Manage control the project making sure diversions from the projects plans are observed and managed in due course
- creation and delivering of presentations
