Global wellness tech developer Coway recently introduced the Airmega 350 and Airmega 450 air purifiers to its award-winning lineup of household appliances. Part of Coway’s line of cylindrical air purifiers, the Coway Airmega 350 and Airmega 450 have a sleek and minimalist expression to complement any interior setting while delivering powerful personalized air care.

The Airmega 350 and Airmega 450 feature the brand’s new HyperVortex filtration system and 3-in-1 customizable filter system that can be selected to meet specific needs and preferences for a personal purification experience: Fresh Starter+, Allergen+ and Intense Smoke+. The filters are easy to change in and out.

Specifically engineered to combat a range of allergens and pollutants the Coway Airmega 350 and Airmega 450 appliances capture 99.99+ per cent of nano-sized particles that measure down to 0.01 microns (a size smaller than most common allergens, bacteria, mold and viruses).

Utilizing Coway’s HyperVortex filtration system, the units optimize airflow and enhance air purification while minimizing airflow loss and reducing noise levels. The innovative system incorporates three key components: First, an Eagle Vane design that includes aerodynamic blades inspired by eagle wings, which create controlled vortices for reliable and consistent airflow and performance through small, rounded protrusion at the base of the blades.

Second, a Vortex Generator Fan with precision-engineered blades maximizes airflow and improves circulation, and, thirdly, duct holes resembling dimples on a golf ball reduce air resistance to allow for a smoother air intake. The Airmega 350 completes an air change every hour in spaces up to 245 square metres; the Airmega 450 handles spaces up to 305 square metres, roughly the size of a high-school gymnasium.

Air quality is monitored in real-time with the Coway Airmega 350 and Airmega 450 with an easy-to-read indicator light on the control panel – four colours provide instant feedback: blue for good, green for moderate, yellow for unhealthy and red for very unhealthy. Other features of the air purifiers include a nightlight, a “mute” mode and control panel lock; the control panel also indicates when it is time to replace the filter, controls airflow speed and offers air quality information. The air purifiers are offered in neutral tones of white or beige.
