Reminiscent of a traditional Alpine milking stool, Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby developed the charming Alpina chair to be a new archetype, one approached from the perspective of complete sustainability.

The fourth project for Magis by the duo, the charming chair is at once elegant and versatile, feeling as home in traditional settings as in contemporary ones.

Managing to be both clean-lined and curvaceous, the fully recyclable Aplina is made with an FSC-certified solid ash wood frame and its rounded and embracing backrest is made from injection-moulded bio-based polypropylene, a material 100 per cent derived from waste cooking oil.

Offered in three versions — natural ash seat and legs with an olive green or beige backrest and black ash seat and legs with black backrest — the chair is suitable for use in private residences as well as contract spaces.
