With its strikingly simple shape and playful detailing, the Dot stacking chair by Turkish designer Alp Nuhoğlu for B&T Design brings both charm and function to training and seminar rooms, as well as other public spaces like cafés and restaurants.
While Dot’s front legs are set perpendicular to the floor, the back legs deviate from the established geometry by angling outwards at a subtle incline.
This effect can be exaggerated with optional armrests that extend from the leg before bending. Giving the chair its name, an oval cutout in the back integrates a supportive cushion.
The veneered ash plywood shell can be finished in a robust range of stains, veneers and lacquers with the option to upholster the seat in a selection of fabrics or leathers. The metal frame can powder-coated to match or contrast the overall seat.
The Dot chair can be stacked seven to 10 high (it is not recommended to stack versions with an upholstered seat for extended periods of time).
