Hidalgo cabinet by Driade

With an unconventional shape more akin to sculpture than storage case, the Hidalgo cabinet by Driade takes a somewhat surreal approach to functionality.

Hidalgo cabinet by Driade

Reminiscent of works by Salvador Dalí, Max Ernst and René Margritte, Driade’s Hidalgo cabinet leans seemingly precariously within its slender steel-tube frame (in painted black or polished stainless steel), and can work equally as well as a unique space divider.

Hidaglo’s exterior is made from moulded plywood and can be finished in two strikingly grained veneers (Beige/Brown Striped and White/Black Flamed) as well as painted in five monochromatic lacquers (White, Pale Green, Blue Sapphire, Oxide Red and Blood Orange) or given a shaded effect with two colours in two combinations (Yellow/Black and Light Blue/Brick Red).

Inside, concealed behind three hinged push-open doors, sturdy fixed shelves and casing is coated in matte black laminate with soft surface.
