With the new HyperFly Cloud and HyperFly Baffle, Kirei by Carnegie expands its Hyper Sonic collection of sound-absorbing design elements that effectively balance and control acoustics.
As with all Kirei products, the new additions are made from 60 per cent recycled post-consumer PET, which diverts hundreds of plastic bottles from ending up in waste streams and landfills.
Defined by soft curves, the flower-shaped HyperFly Cloud has a strong visual impact bolstered by its sound-absorbing capabilities. The press-fit assembled clouds are designed to incorporate optional lighting, adding a second dimension to their practicality. Suitable for installation from a variety of ceiling systems, the HyperFly Cloud has an Array-NRC of 0.35 to 0.40, and is offered in two sizes.
The HyperFly Baffle adds a dynamic visual impression to interiors and brings texture and a sense of movement through its stunning design. Also press-fit assembled, the baffles come in three standard lengths and boast an Array-NRC of 0.55 to 0.60.
Both the HyperFly Cloud and the HyperFly Baffle are available in more than 35 through-panel PET colours with the option for printed effects for project-specific looks, including realistic botanicals, stonework or more through Kirei’s portfolio of 50 prints across the four Kirei Ink collections. The acoustic solutions can also be customized for colour, pattern or graphic.
HyperFly Cloud and HyperFly Baffle meet or exceed CDPH standards for VOCs, are Red List Free and Declare Label qualified; the acoustic solutions are also Class A fire-rated, have an HPD and EPD and qualify for LEED and WELL building credits.
