Defined by its simplicity and fuss-free silhouette, the Kisat chair by Copenhagen-based designer Hee Welling for Lapalma effortlessly meets the need for seating in a variety of settings.
Reminiscent of vintage school chairs, Kisat from Lapalma features a wide and curved backrest and generous seat pan with a subtle waterfall edge to comfortable support the sitter’s legs.
While familiar, one unexpected graphic detail sets it apart – a die-cast aluminum frame that encircles the back before descending in a seemingly continuous line to form the sturdy base.
Serving as an outline to the backrest – which can be bare oak or upholstered – the metal tubing (in crisp white or rich black) adds visual interest and a tailored effect. The wood option is offered in blanched or black open pore and a large portfolio of textiles is available for the upholstered version.
Suitable for use in residential kitchens and dining rooms as well as restaurants, conference halls and other public spaces, the four-legged Kisat is stackable up to 10 for easy out-of-the-way storage.
