Yabu Pushelberg studio designed its Konoha wall lamp for Marset to encourage engagement and interaction. When conceptualizing the sophisticated design, the studio took into consideration how intrinsically light it linked to emotion, and how it can positively impact an environment.
Recognizing the need for both direct and ambient light, Konoha was devised as a twin-function wall lamp that offers both functions from one single light source – a slender spotlight that can be rotated 360 degrees.
Affixed to a slightly thicker vertical pole, the spotlight can be turned to shine directly upwards and bounce off the curved hat-like shade, casting a soft warm glow that funnels outwards. If more concentrated illumination is needed or desired, the spotlight can be turned to point in any direction and project like a reading lamp.
Suitable for a multitude of interior uses – from private bedrooms to waiting rooms and hotel suites – an outdoor version can be applied to light up walkways, wash exterior walls and add an ambient element to restaurant and hotel entrances.
Made from steel (for the structure) and aluminum (for the spotlight tube), Konoha is offered in two sizes and four colourways – Black, Terracotta, Chalk and Moss Grey.
