A new series of architectural-grade zinc finishes has been added to Rheinzink’s portfolio of offerings for roofing, cladding and walls. Included under the Rheinzink-Granum umbrella, the dark grey Basalte and lighter Skygrey have a deep matte finish that suits both contemporary and traditional architectural styles.

While the neutral characteristics of the light and dark grey tones are ideal for pairing with such building materials as wood, natural stone, plaster, glass and others, the zinc alloy will patina naturally over time as it’s exposed to wet and dry weather cycles and gradually transform its aesthetic. High-performance zinc is self-healing, low-maintenance and corrosion-resistant and has lifespan of several decades.

The matte finish of Basalte and Skygrey is achieved through a phosphating process that uses an environmentally responsible technology and contributes to its durability and sustainability. Further to that, the material can also be 100 per cent recycled when and if removed. Malleable and bendable, the sheets are available in standard thicknesses of 0.7, 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2 millimetres.
