Carnegie, in partnership with Swiss-based interior textiles manufacturer Création Baumann, recently expanded its Conscious collection of drapery fabrics with the addition of three new window covering options – Shadow V, Cloud and Shelter. Each of the three semi-transparent window coverings from Carnegie and Création Baumann are aluminum-metallized to effectively reflect the sun’s rays and help to regulate daylight and radiation, contributing to the reduction of the solar energy load of a building.
Responding to the ever-evolving needs of the architecture and design community, Shadow V, Cloud and Shelter offer creative solutions to common problems while also addressing concerns of environmental sustainability and mental well-being. The window coverings are 100 per cent PVC-free, finish-free and PFAS-free.
Suitable for high-traffic healthcare, hospitality, workspace, education and other commercial environments, the textiles are as durable as they are beautiful with enhanced cleanability and inherent flame resistance.
Shadow V is made from 100 per cent Trevira CS polyester and provides privacy and UV-protection for windows, as well as reducing heat and glare. Offered in six sophisticated neutrals that vary from warm white to grey and brown, the window covering has a soft hand and invitingly cozy appearance.
With understated striations across its surface, Cloud imparts a refined appearance in public and private spaces while also regulating light. Made from 100 per cent Trevira CS polyester, it comes in five neutral tones that range from white to warm and cool greys.
Made from 100 per cent flame-resistant polyester, Shelter has a subtle technical look and is available in five nuanced neutral blue and grey tones; colour-fast and light-fast, the woven fabric helps reduce heat and glare.
