Designed by Milan-based Studiopepe, Torre from Rakumba is a geometric lighting collection that merges architecture with light and rhythm.
Exploring the sturdiness of architectural structures as well as sculptural softness, Torre from Rakumba approaches light as a spatial composition, one that blends form and illumination into a single geometric gesture.
Featuring wall lights and rechargeable table lamps, Torre was conceived as a small architectural structure composed of concave and convex forms. The compact totem-like light combines solidity with openness and circles with rectangles; the elements overlap and interrupt each other to create moments of pause and release.
A measured tension is expressed, with solids and voids providing a pleasing rhythm, play of proportion and an impactful presence. The mix of solid panels and openings play with the light, revealing or concealing it depending on where the lamp is approached from.
The effect is not simple and straightforward illumination, but a spatial and experiential feature within modern architecture. Refined and rigorous, the lamp is weather-sealed, making it suitable for use both indoors and outdoors.
The Torre collection of wall lights (in two sizes) and table lamps is available in four distinct powder-coat colours — Black, Bordeaux, Ivory and Agave — as well as custom finishes for large-scale installations. The collection will be available in September 2026.
