Foster + Partners is hiring an Urban Designer with experience working on large scale masterplans and masterplan scales. You’ll be based out of their office in London, United Kingdom, working on-site. This is an opportunity for you to cover a wide range of projects from strategic planning to urban design and landscape architecture. Foster + Partners is looking for an Urban Designer with excellent organizational and communication skills, who is self-motivated and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of design/master plan project and research into relevant urban design and planning issues
• Support of project teams throughout the design process
• Help in developing diagrammatic or spatial representations where appropriate
• Development of design concepts alongside other Foster + Partners urban designers
• Thorough knowledge of and compliance with F+P procedures and standards

Qualifications

• Ability to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of urban design projects
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to build good relationships at all internal and external levels

Desirable

• Project experience based in the Middle East
• Ability to use some of the following: GIS, PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Experience working on large scale masterplans
