Sansa Interiors are currently seeking an experienced Intermediate Interior Designer (commercial & residential) to join their fast growing team and handle all aspects of a given interior design project.
As a Sansa Interior Intermediate Designer, you will be a technically adept individual who can seamlessly translate directives from the Principle & Senior Design Lead into innovative and applicable design solutions. In this role, you’ll serve as a key communicator, mentor, and collaborator within the team, leveraging your strong technical prowess to drive the execution of residential and commercial projects.
Sansa Interiors need someone with the innate ability to not only understand their vision but also to take the lead in transforming it into unique designs and be able to juggle the transition between residential and commercial standards. Your role will encompass guiding projects from the initial concept, schematics through to construction documentation and coordination, ensuring that every aspect aligns with and surpasses the firm’s standards of top notch quality.

Responsibilities:
- Create, develop, communicate and produce initial design concepts that follow their holistic approach and the project scope and intention.
- Comfortable with following procedures and remote systems, while finding ways to improve Sansa Interiors’ project flow and process.
- Fully manage and work on multiple projects at a given time (Conceptual all the way to Construction) within allotted project scope and allocated project hours.
- Support team and assist with their projects & drawings.
- Maintain a professional relationship with clients, manage expectations and consistently communicate with clients and their coordinates on the status of the project. Scheduling meeting and presentations as per scope of work.
- Create and collaborate with senior on creating a project schedule and task list based on provided scope of work.
- Coordinate and monitor the work of junior & intern designers.
- Collaborate and coordinate with suppliers, constantly updating supplier list and selecting & specifying all FF&E items necessary for the project at hand.
- Prepare full design sets, specifications, schedules via Revit & Google Suite.
- Updating project tasks on Notion daily.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial and residential interior design.
- Bachelor’s degree/ diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, and respectful to team, suppliers and clients.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Resident or valid Work Permit).
- Eye for design, organized, exceptional time management and self discipline. Being resourceful, proactive, creative and responsible.
- Accustomed to working in a fast‐paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Comfortable and being able to clearly produce concepts on Revit 3D.
- Understanding of Ontario Building Code and interior design general standards.
- Ability to produce millwork and detail drawings via Revit.
- FF&E skills and abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
Must Have Software Skills:
- Revit.
- Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator).
- Google Suite (sheets, presentations, gmail, google drive).
