Cloud Nine by Luum Textiles

Luum Textiles Cloud Nine from Beyond the Surface collection

The new creative director of Luum Textiles, Dorothy Cosonas, developed the Beyond the Surface textile collection to mine the depths of colour, texture and pattern inspired by nature, art, fashion and the streets of New York City. A standout in the seven-pattern series, Cloud Nine translates organic cloud formations into a large-scale multicolour swirling of tones through a unique spray-dye technique: The chunky chenille is fed through a slow-moving conveyor belt while multiple nozzles shower it with three bold and overlapping hues. It’s available in six colourways.

Fratttini Stripe by Momentum

Frattini Stripe by Momentum

A collaboration with Italian architect and designer Emanuela Frattini Magnusson, Frattini Stripe from Momentum playfully contrasts positive and negative space with its expansive repeat of thick lines and bold hues. Pushing the boundaries of jacquard weaving, the high-performance upholstery fabric is offered in six city-inspired tonal combinations that utilize up to 13 individual yarns for each colour.

Flutter by Designtex

Defined by its basket weave of graphic lines, Flutter from Designtex balances movement with structure and texture with form. The exposed fil coupé detailing (an effect produced when extra weft threads are woven into the pattern and then trimmed on the reverse side to reveal fringed ends on the front) creates a mazy motif that lends a sense of delicacy to the durable fabric. Flutter comes in three subtly muted colour options.

One segment of the five-pattern Feel & Form textile collection from HBF Textiles, Velvet Cord has a sumptuous and sculptural surface composed of thick, rhythmic ridges in alternating pile directions that capture light and shift its perspective along distinct linear paths. It expresses the lustre of velvet in 10 rich jewel tones.
