Lounge Collections
1
Lanai Collection by ARD Outdoor
With crisp lines and extra-deep seats, Lanai from ARD Outdoor walks the line between formal and casual. The graceful curve of the powder-coated aluminum frame’s backrest lends elegance, and the nubby upholstery adds tactile interest. The series is available in ecru, matte grey or black, and two fabrics — onyx or sand.
2
Lagoon Sofa by Poliform
A modular system designed by Emmanuel Gallina, the Lagoon sofa from Poliform was inspired by the beauty of sailboats: Nautical craftsmanship is reflected in the slatted teak base, while the woven-rope backrest nods to maritime rigging. Multiple modules are included in the expansive series.
3
Kasumi by Living Divani
Italian-Japanese studio Mist-o wanted to convey a sense of warmth and visual lightness with its Kasumi collection for Living Divani. To that end, the wood structures are refined and clean-lined, with a woven synthetic rope backrest (in five colours) to add subtle tactile interest; a range of fabrics and leathers is available.
4
MDEAR by DEDON
With compelling organic shapes and intricately handwoven proprietary fibres, the five modules (sofas, lounges, chairs, a footstool and a coffee table) in Dedon’s MDEAR series by Sebastian Herkner have a strong visual identity, transmitting a sense of extreme comfort whether they’re standing alone or grouped together.
5
Ralik Outdoor by Arper
Arper recently released an outdoor version of its Ralik modular system, originally designed for interiors by Japan’s Ichiro Iwasaki in 2023. Now, the low-slung pouffes, seats and benches can be used to create al fresco arrangements for relaxation; side and end tables can be integrated for added versatility.
6
Tufty-Time 20 by B&B Italia
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Patricia Urquiola design, Tufty-
Time 20 from B&B Italia introduces the sprawling seating system to the outdoors. The 10 modules in the series (including a new curved element) are fabricated using recyclable weather-resistant materials. Multiple fabrics and leathers are available.
7
Monocle by Ethnicraft
Artist and designer Jacques Deneef characterized his Monocle modular sofa collection for Ethnicraft with a relaxed and inviting silhouette. The low-profile pieces are made from high-quality untreated teak and topped with plump yet streamlined white-upholstered cushions that embrace the sitter with confidence.
8
1977 Outdoor Sofa by King Living
With a sculptural profile and relaxed form, the 1977 Outdoor Sofa from King Living is the epitome of casual outdoor living. The indoor version has been a staple of the brand since the 1970s, and the new outdoor iteration maintains the gentle curves and contours of the original, with the added benefit of weather-resistance.
Chairs
1
Vista by Ethimo
Designer Christophe Pillet created the Vista chair for Ethimo to harmonize with the landscape by appointing it with balanced refinement that pairs clean lines with an adaptable personality. The ergonomic and lightweight tubular aluminum frame is offered in more than 20 matte or glossy colours, and the supportive cushions can be upholstered in an extensive range of textile options.
2
Tilos by Kettal
Reinterpreting 1950s and ’60s bamboo and rattan seating, the Tilos club armchair by architect and industrial designer Antonio Citterio for Kettal crafts its distinctive shell from metal and woven acrylic rope (in Tamarind or New Dawn) using modern-day technologies. A wood or metal frame offers support and visual tension, while the plush cushion (in a plethora of fabric options) makes for a soft landing.
3
Lace by Diabla
Influenced by the futuristic style of the Space Age designs of the mid-1950s to 1970s, Lace by Yonoh from Diabla blends playfully rounded forms with hardy contract-ready materials: roto-moulded polyethylene shells (in white, sand or anthracite) and lacquered stainless-steel structures in 17 colours; a range of outdoor textiles is available for the upholstered elements. With intriguing, organic lines, each element in the 11-piece collection is as expressive as it is comfortable.
4
Picket Chair by Weltevree
While pared-back and somewhat simple, the Picket Chair by German designer Michael Schoner boasts an unexpected detail: The backrest and seat intersect with an optical lightness, the two elements appearing to hover in place. Made from oiled bamboo by Dutch design brand Weltevree, the seat can withstand the elements with grace.
Dining
1
Here and There by Loll Designs
For its Here and There collection for Loll Designs, Argenta Park was influenced by the iconic Leopold bench by Aldo Leopold. Rendered in recycled high-density polyethylene, the dining tables (in three sizes), bench and dining chair are ergonomically contoured with concealed fasteners to keep the aesthetic clean.
2
Canyon Crue by Tuuci
Like an exquisitely crafted timepiece, Tuuci’s Canyon Crue collection riffs on the classic 15th-century X-frame chair and punctuates it with a central crown bolt and stainless-steel cuffs. As durable as it is elegant, the series is made from aluminum and is available in the brand’s Aluma-TEAK hardwood finishes; the removable quilted upholstery is quick-drying.
3
Kim by Flexform
Artisanal craftsmanship meets expressive austerity in the Kim armchair, designed by Antonio Citterio for Flexform. The gentle downward slope of the hand-finished solid walnut or ash arms supports a comfortable sit, while the backrest and seat in woven paper rush cord add a touch of rustic elegance.
4
Griante by Pedrali
A contemporary take on traditional woven seating, Griante from Pedrali uses fully recyclable polypropylene yarn belts for its handwoven seat and backrest; the three-dimensional texture of the material provides both comfort and weather-resistance. Designed by CMP Design, the chair’s turned teak frame and fabric are both available in a range of finishes and colours.
