There are a lot of products that go into making a beautiful — and functional — building. And while cladding and interior finishes often take the spotlight, key design elements like windows, doors and HVAC systems tend to fly under the radar. Yet, the right architectural products can make or break a design, helping to ensure that spaces are not just stylish but also comfortable and efficient. Below, we round up five examples to take your projects to the next level.
1
Dreamscape Collection by 3form
In signature Ringo Studio fashion, this collection of glass, resin and acoustic surfaces brings a hit of vibrant colour and rich texture to interiors. Having worked with 3form on previous projects, the Brooklyn-based studio collaborated with the materials manufacturer on this surrealist, spring- and summer-inspired palette. With seven options to choose from — in the brand’s Varia and Chroma resins, glass and Sola acoustic felt — there is a material, colour, pattern and finish to suit any space.
The collection pairs textural neutrals with bold solids. Cosmic Dune, for instance, offered on Sola Felt, features undulating sandy brown ridges. Two Varia patterns introduce a similar texture: Stardust mimics the look of antique glass with a ridged art deco arch pattern on a hazy backdrop, while Electric Lily features a two-toned vertical stripe in a soft mauve hue.
The more statement-making offerings include Holographic Haze, a chartreuse shade of Varia resin with a shiny fabric interlay that lends it a metallic appearance; Flamingo, a hot pink take on the Chroma resin; and Tangerine Sunset, an orange ombré digitally printed on glass. Floral Daydream rounds out the Dreamscape Collection with a vintage botanical pattern on soft blue Varia resin. All seven options are available as 1.2-by-2.4-metre and 1.2-by-3-metre panels with multiple gauge options.

Architectural Contour 8 Air Curtain by Berner
Whether seeking to save on energy, maintain thermal comfort or improve indoor air quality, there are plenty of reasons to use an air curtain. Often referred to as “invisible doors,” the architectural products are remarkably effective at creating barriers between indoors and out, but they can be an eyesore in an otherwise thoughtfully designed entrance. Berner seeks to change that with its award-winning Architectural Contour 8 Air Curtain — a sleek design that fits discreetly into healthcare, hotel, retail and restaurant spaces.
While the products prioritize aesthetics, they don’t sacrifice on performance: Berner’s air curtains are the quietest on the market and even include a proactive adaptive setting based on the weather. Not to mention, they can be easily operated using the Berner AIR smart controller or mobile app.
3
Acrovyn Curved Door by Construction Specialities
Sliding doors can be an excellent space-saving solution, but they don’t work in every use case. That’s where the Acrovyn Curved Door from Construction Specialties comes in. With a compact radius that requires less wall space and a smaller footprint than traditional doors, these curved alternatives are best suited for ultra-tight spaces, rooms with curved walls or where clear sightlines are needed. And because they are offered in a wide range of colourways, woodgrain, stone-look and brushed metallic finishes (as well as custom colours, patterns and motifs), they are versatile enough to be integrated with any interior style.
Made from highly durable PVC-free Acrovyn, the doors are free of phthalates, persistent bioaccumulative toxins (PBT) and bisphenol A (BPA), making them a healthy and hygienic choice for healthcare, educational and hospitality settings.
4
Richcliff Slabs by Unilock
Though facades do much of the heavy lifting in delivering a strong first impression, the journey to the building itself is often overlooked, yet equally important. Modelled after natural cut flagstone (and shown here in Smoke Shale), Unilock’s Richcliff slabs bring a timeless appeal to walkways, driveways, patios and even rooftops. Up to four times stronger than conventional poured concrete, Richcliff is an extremely durable alternative to natural stone, which is prone to cracking, splitting and fading.
Using Reala technology, multiple stone textures are cast into the surface of the pavers to ensure a natural appearance, enhanced by a 3-unit random bundle that allows for expanded patterning options. The collection is also available as a new rectangular slab (30 by 53 cm) for a larger-scale look.
5
Linear Diffusers by Invi Air
Sometimes, the best design solutions are the ones you can’t even see. Case in point: Invi Air’s wall and ceiling diffusers and grilles for HVAC systems, which integrate seamlessly into interiors via a subtle slit in the ceiling. The minimal design improves HVAC system performance with an innovative composite material construction which reduces condensation on the diffuser and eliminates cracks (unlike aluminum and steel linear slot diffusers which expand and contract in response to temperature changes). The material is also sound absorbent and does not create vibration or whistling with the moving air, helping to reduce ambient noise.
The frameless vents are installed flush-mount for a clean look and are compatible with gypsum, acoustical, tile or custom ceiling and wall systems. The supply-and-return diffusers are available with one or two slots with 90- or 45-degree openings and come in both linear and curved options to suit almost any space. Plus, they can be painted to match wall and ceiling colours to ensure visual cohesion.
