Join this live CEU presented by Rosalyn Cama, President and Principal Interior Designer of CAMA health design studio and lab. CAMA has spearheaded the evidence-based design movement.
Infection control is a top priority in the healthcare industry, and providers and designers are challenged to consider alternatives to current design standards in response to the recent pandemic. These design opportunities underscore the importance of material choice in the healthcare environment, and how materials impact safety, acoustics, durability, and aesthetics, to name a few considerations. We use glass as a case study to explore how this building material can serve as a design solution to address four key areas in the care environment: infection control, dignity and privacy, safety and visibility, and beauty and satisfaction.
