1
Omega and Runner by ATN Kreative Produktionen

The three-dimensional structure of these 100-per-cent-recyclable-polyester, Oeko-Tex-certified designs by German manufacturer ATN Kreative Produktionen evoke the fine mesh of sport and active wear. With Omega (far left), a wide, knitted honeycomb grid sits atop a black backing to give the lightfast, waterproof and fire-resistant textile a graphic edge, while Runner (though identical in performance) features a tighter knit and more subtle relief. Each comes in 160-centimetre-wide sheets.

2
Extrema Wave by Flukso

Italian manufacturer Flukso showcased a number of recent additions to its already expansive offering of fabric coverings at the 2020 edition of Heimtextil. Among them was Status Look (shown in orange) and the vibrant Extrema Wave (shown in yellow), a textured version of its eco-leather Extreme Au. The quilted surface adds depth, comfort and elasticity to the water-resistant product, which is also fungicide-treated and fire-retardant. Reminiscent of thermal insulated outerwear and available in eight tones, the scalloped design is perfectly suited for high-traffic environments.

3
Rubber On by coverdec.one

Lightfast, water-repellent and stain-resistant, Austrian brand coverdec.one’s latest line marries cutting-edge material science with a refined futuristic aesthetic. Consisting of three unique dimensional designs — the faceted Diamond, the angular Crush (shown) and the grid-like Cube — Rubber On is the result of rubber being condensed under high pressure and then heated into a polyester fabric in these distinct styles, which increases the durability and performance of the 46-by-42-centimetre sheets.

3 High-Performance Textiles Reaching New Heights

These sport-inspired fabrics made of rubber and polyester were a graphic highlight of the 50th edition of Frankfurt’s Heimtextil.
